Opportunity Clocks!

I REALLY cannot believe that you missed last week's issue of the Opportunities. Anyway to get straight to the point those of you on the lookout for a really good, soul-satisfying job should stop reading this at once and get online to register for The Hindu Opportunities Job Fair 2006. This time around, Eenadu partners The Hindu Opportunities and The Government of Andhra Pradesh who have come together to make the Fair a success for both the recruiters and the job aspirants. All this is slated for the 12th and 13th of January 2006 along with the very high-profile and prestigious GITEX 2006 exhibition which is expected to attract as it always does, visitors from all over the planet. And apart from technology, services and products, these corporate visitors will be looking for manpower as well and let me tell you that you could be the one they want! The process this time has been streamlined to be simpler both for recruiters and aspirants. The important thing is to understand the process and get it done in all respects otherwise, since nobody can visit the venue without a Hall Entry Ticket, you will be left with a portfolio of qualifications and no means to enter the Hitex International Exhibition Centre at Madhapur, Hyderabad.

The Hindu Opportunities Job Fair is unique in that it proposes, this time, to give suitable candidates ample opportunity to meet and discuss with recruiters in relative peace and quiet about the jobs they are looking at and the terms and conditions. Prospective candidates that have the requisite qualifications can expect to meet recruiters from all over the world across the IT, BPO, Manufacturing and the Service industries.

A new process has been designed that will allow recruiters to choose whom they want to meet beforehand and give them some quality time. For instance:

Freshers and those passing out in 2006 and those with less than two years' experience will need to register online at this address: {lt}http://www.tmifirst.com/hf6/index.aspx{gt} and await a confirmatory message online that will include the Hall Entry Ticket only when they are shortlisted by the recruiters. This will save thousands of people the trouble and expense of coming all the way to Hyderabad only to discover that none of the jobs suit them.

Experienced professionals with more than two years of work experience need to click on the relevant option and after filling in the form can print out their Hall Entry Ticket, the moment they have completed the process and do not need to expect a confirmatory mail with the details.

The form has been designed as simply as possible and all you have to do is to first enter your basic data for registration and then sit back, relax and await your user ID and password by e-mail with a link to the registration site. The third step is to complete the registration process by logging onto the registration site and having done that complete the final step by taking a printout of the Hall Entry Ticket. Mind you, you can do all four steps if you have more that two years' experience. If you are a fresher or are about to graduate or have less than two years experience you need to wait a tad longer for your HET to be generated after scrutiny and acceptance.

Those with experience of more than two years are advised that you should bring along supporting documents to establish your experienced state at the venue to the recruiter(s) with whom you have an appointment. And remember everybody; you will not be admitted without a Hall Entry Ticket.

This time the experience is going to be different with most of the matchmaking taking place before you step into the Hi-tech venue at Madhapur. Once you are called (as a fresher or a candidate with less than two years experience) you can be certain that there will be someone willing to give you the time and have the patience to talk to you and see if there is a point of mutual interest.

Those of you with more than two years experience are welcome to choose your recruiter and talk to them bringing your experience to bear on the discussions you will have. But time is running out and as the title says, the clock waits for no one, so get in there and register!
