Maha Swami Charitam
SAREGAMA INDIA Limited has come out with a VCD/DVD, "Madhuram Madhuram Maha Swami Charitam," a Harikatha narration in Tamil by Revathy Sankaran.
The technical credits include art direction by Thota Bhanu, and cinematography by Kichaas and Anna. Scripted by Revathy Sankaran, the sound has been taken care of by Pushpakant and Nithyanandam (Kalpana Arts Recording Centre). Bhaskar and Teletapez have done the editing. With V. Gopi and N. Govindarajan as associate directors, Maha Swami Charitam on Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, has been directed by V. Rajagopal of Sound and Sight Communications. The proceeds from the sale of the VCD/DVD, which will be released today, the 110th Maha Jayanthi Day of the Sankaracharya, will go to the corpus of the SSSMM Trust, for the construction of the Manimandapam for His Holiness, at Orirukkai, near Kanchipuram.
Menu 2 contains a commentary in English by P. C. Ramakrishna on the Manimandapam project in progress, while Menu 3 has Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal extolling His Guru, the Maha Swami of Kanchi, in Hindi and also blessing the project.
