The script
Piyush Mishra
HE could still be scratching his pen desperately notching up one play after another. Suddenly all that seems to have changed with writing the script for the "Legend of Bhagat Singh". Piyush Mishra is discovering that there may actually be an audience waiting for his work. So, this actor/playwright published a play called Gagan Damama Bajyo on Bhagat Singh. Mishra is excited since the first edition sold out in just seven days. He's now packing his bags and is off to Mumbai. Asked whether he was one of the last in the line of theatre loyalists to flee to tinsel town, Mishra reportedly said he didn't quite understand how he'd got the tag of being a pure "theatrewallah". His biggest grouse is that acting is still not considered a "craft" in India. "There is no method to it and one does what one feels like. One day I would like to list out the steps towards good acting and maybe write a book on it."
